Botox Injections

BOTOX™ Cosmetic, a purified form of Botulinum Toxin A, which comes from bacterial cultures processed into a protein, has been used for years to treat patients with certain muscular disorders. More recently, though, BOTOX™ Cosmetic has been getting attention as an anti-wrinkle treatment that is quick, convenient and has minimal side effects.

Botox can correct facial lines associated with:

Wrinkles are formed as the face muscles contract to laugh, smile or frown. As these muscles contract, groves are worn into the skin. BOTOX™ Cosmetic relaxes the facial muscles by attaching to the nerve terminals and blocking the release of a neurotransmitter. This prevents the muscles from contracting and can reduce or even eliminate the forming of wrinkles.

Botox injections can help to effectively reduce the appearance of severe frown lines between the brows, which are caused by overactive muscles. This facial injectable consists of a purified protein produced by a botulinum toxin type A. Results typically last up to four months; additional treatments sessions are necessary in order to maintain optimal results.
