Most individuals experience facial aging at some point in their lives. While many patients look into plastic surgery to correct imperfections like wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin, there are those who desire an alternative solution that is less invasive.

What Is Radio Frequency Micro Needling?

Radio Frequency Micro Needling, also known as “PiXel8-RF” uses bi-polar, radio-frequency (RF) energy alongside minimally invasive micro-needles to effectively tighten and smooth your skin. This procedure combats visible signs of aging, improves tissue coagulation and blood flow in the treatment area, and is suitable for all skin types. The energy delivered through the PiXel8-RF micro-needles into the tissue can be adjusted to a depth of .5mm to 3.5mm to address each patient’s aesthetic needs.

What Results Can I Expect?

Most patients notice their skin is smoother and softer after a single treatment. However, to help achieve the maximum benefit, a series of three treatments is suggested, with sessions spaced four weeks apart.

What Can PiXel8-RF Treat?

PiXel8-RF can be used for a variety of dermatological treatments, including:

  • Skin tightening
  • Jowl lifting
  • Collagen buildup
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Acne scar improvement
  • Skin tone and texture
  • Pore reduction
  • Scar reduction
  • Double chin reduction
  • Eyebrow lifting
  • Neck lifting
  • Hand rejuvenation

How Is It Performed?

Our licensed esthetician performs PiXel8-RF treatments on an outpatient basis. The treatment takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. However, the treatment area will need to be prepped, which may take an additional 30 minutes. During your procedure, heat will be driven deep into the under-layers of your skin to stimulate and remodel collagen and regenerate elastin. This will result in firm, smooth skin, and a more even complexion.

How Long Is the Recovery Period?

PiXel8-RF is a non-surgical procedure that requires little to no downtime. Only a few limitations are common after an RF microneedling treatment. The treated area may be red for a full day. However, your recovery time may be longer depending on the extent and depth of your treatment.
