Spider Vein Removal

Broken or enlarged blood vessels and vascular lesions on the face, neck, and chest are causing many patients, both men and women, to seek treatment options.

With our advanced spider vein removal process, spider veins will disappear, absorbed by your body, leaving you with fresh, evenly-tone skin. The magic happens with our Sciton® BBL™. BBL™ is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market.

What is spider vein removal?

Spider veins are tiny superficial veins that are visible through the skin surface. BBL™ energy is emitted into the vein where it sustains a thermal injury without causing any damage to the surrounding skin and tissue. Once the veins have been treated, your body absorbs the remaining tissue over time and newer, healthy cells migrate to the surface revealing a smoother more youthful completion.

Candidates for IPL spider vein removal

Most people with spider veins are good candidates for IPL. If you are prone to raised keloid scars or pigmentation issues, you may not be a good candidate, or if you have diabetes, which affects wound healing.

How is spider vein removal performed?

A cold gel is applied to the area to be treated, and the light energy from the device is directed into the spider veins. You will be comfortably resting on a treatment bed or chair and may feel a snapping sensation as the light energy is applied. Your treatment will take only about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Recovery after spider vein removal with IPL

The recovery time is not painful, but it may require up to six weeks for a visible vein to be fully absorbed and disappear. The treated area may appear red and slightly swollen or bruised. Apply arnica and cold compresses to speed healing. You can wear makeup to hide reddened skin.
